Girls Night Out!

IF YOU SAY YOU ARE GOING TO SHOW UP, PLEASE SHOW UP!

Are you a NO-SHOW? Why is it important to show up?

  • When there is a waitlist and you don't show up, you rob someone else of the chance to participate.
  • When we tell a restaurant to expect 20 and only 12 ladies show up, that business will not book with us again.
  • When we have 75 signed up for a program and only 50 show up, money is wasted on food and rental chairs.
  • When a hostess (for book club or Game Night or mahjong, etc.) sets out chairs and food, and only half those registered show up, she may decide to never host again.

So......if you RSVP for something, please attend. If you are not sure of your plans, don't sign up until you are sure. If your plans change, please notify the leaders at least 24 hours before the activity. This will really help us. Thank you!

    Preston Hollow Women's Club

is located in the heart of Preston Hollow, a Dallas suburb. Our club is open to women in the Preston Hollow area of Dallas; specifically within the boundaries of LBJ, NW Hwy, Central Expwy, and Midway Rd. We are a social and philanthropic organization that promotes a strong neighborhood through its various programs, philanthropic projects, and special interest groups. Our Special Interest Groups provide many avenues of interest and interaction for members, such as book clubs, cooking clubs, wine tastings, theater, museums, golf, gardening, mahjong, bridge, bunco, canasta, and other fun activities.

We host 6 high-impact Speaker Series programs during the membership year. And there is a Fall and Spring Social to which members may invite a spouse, partner or guest. Our current philanthropy is Literacy Achieves , which we support volunteering, hosting birthday parties, and with funding.

    Our NEW 2023-2026

    Philanthropy Recipient!

Literacy Achieves mission is to equip non-English speaking adults and their young children with English literacy and life skills to promote self-sufficiency and the overall well-being of our students, their families and the greater community.

Please remember Literacy Achieves in your end-of-year giving!

The philanthropy project selected for 2023-2024 is to raise $25,000 for Financial Assistance to assist in rebuilding the Children's House at Vickery Meadows that was damaged due to frozen water pipes.

Volunteer teachers are needed for January

Volunteer teachers are needed to teach English and to mentor students to integrate into American society. It is only two hours a week and flexible days and times are available. Training and a full daily curriculum is provided. It is a fun and rewarding experience and a great way to give back to the community. Your efforts result in truly appreciative students; laughing and smiling and eager to learn.

Feel free to contact Jabeen Zaidi should you have additional questions.

Contact Jabeen Zaidi or Kay Weeks, Philanthropy Co-Chairs for more details.
